CONCEPT ART
Concept art is a drawing or illustration, used to determine the appearance of a finished product. For example, ideas for the visual style
of an animation, or the setting or production design of a film. It is a very useful tool in both these
fields, and used extensively in them, as well as in advertising and
music videos - anything really which requires some pre-production
illustrations for the look of the product.
As its title suggests, concept art, however, can be simply that : the artistic concept for the finished piece, often related to the look of the work. This type of art can range from sketches to intricate designs and drawings, and can be traditionally draw or even done digitally. Either way, the idea remains the same, to illustrate what something will look like, and this can be achieved using a vast array of mediums.
